Introducing Ava

Last weekend my mom, James and myself set out to meet the newest member of our family, Ava. It is about a 5 hour drive but with a 3 year old it took us about 6 1/2 hours which was ok with me because I definitely did not mind the stretch breaks. Tim and Michelle took us to some places around where they live. We saw the JFK museum which was pretty cool, we also went the The Gaylord hotel , that, to say the least was very very nice. We also went to watch Adam in a basketball scrimmage and took James to a really nice park. The best part of it all was spending time with my family. It is always good to see my brother, his wife and the kids. Adam is getting ready to finish high school and go off to college. Missy is growing into a beautiful young lady and Ava well she is a sweet pea. Still so little, tiny. She is a blessing that was unexpected but very welcomed. The time went by too fast and I cant wait to go back. Thank you mom for letting James and I tag along and thank you Tim, Michelle and kids for letting us invade your space for a few days. =0)

Pumpkin Patch

Joe and I took James to the pumpkin patch. We had never been there before so we were not sure what to expect. It was really cute, very family oriented, which I loved. There were quite a bit of pumpkins and plenty of places to take some really cute pictures...so here they are.

Costume Party part 2

This past Friday Joe and I were invited to attend a costume party for the grown ups. I had been undecided what to be for the whole week before and finally decided to be a doll but ended up looking more like a toddler...lol. Joe and other hand knew from the beginning what he was gonna be...Jason from those scary movies. We could not be any more different. I wanted to go as a matching couple but I dont think he wanted to dress up as a doll. It was a really cool party, everyone that attended had to be dressed in a costume or you were not going to be let in. We had great time. Next year, we are definitely going to think ahead of time and plan our costumes out.

Kiddie Costume party

This past Friday James was invited to a kids costume party. He was so excited because he was going to see Dallas. Dallas is a very pretty 10 year old little girl. She is the daughter of Jennifer. We have been friends for 16 years. I think this just might be James' first crush....Anyway, he had so much fun. There was games and food, dancing and movies, music and prizes. What I really enjoyed about this party was it was very kid friendly. Nothing scary. So I have been inspired. Next year I will be having a Halloween/Costume party for the kiddos...

Toy Story adventure

Joe and I took James to see the re-release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 this past weekend at the movies. We were kind of nervous about taking him because he had been sick with a fever and had also just got his flu shot so he really wasn't 100% healthy. He also had only been to a movie theater one other time and it didn't go to well. Joe and I had been preparing him for a week so that he knew he had to be on his best behavior (yeah right)lol. So we get there and people are already waiting. We went to the first showing since it was a double feature, we figured the earlier we are there the better. Lucky by the time they opened the doors we were the first ones to buy our tickets. We got our popcorn and drinks and went to take our seats. James was so behaved, I was so proud of my little man. He even told me when he had to go potty. He fell asleep during the middle of Toy Story 2 but he has seen both of them so many times. The only differences were that they were at the theater and in 3D. He really enjoyed himself. So many people told him he was so cute because he was wearing his Woody costume...what can I say..he is my little masterpiece.

Ramon jr's birthday party

This past Sunday James was invited to his cousin's (Ramon jr) 3rd birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza. James was in grouchy mood at first because I had to wake him from his nap to get him dressed but once he started playing games, he got over it. There were about 6 kids total and even more adults...which usually happens with a kids party. The pizza was abundant as was the the cake and ice cream. The cake was awesome, we even brought some home. James and Joe played the games and rode the rides. After about being there for 2 hours we were all ready to leave. There were so many people and so much noise but over all we had a great time.

78 and still counting....

This is a little over due...but better late than never.
On September 8th was Joe's grandmother's 78th birthday! Joe, James and myself went over to visit and help with her celebration. My mother in law was there, a couple of Joe's aunts, uncles and cousins. We had cake, which was so good by the way, we listened to music and she even had a gentlemen come in and serenade her. James (of course) got the party started by dancing. (wonder where he got that from, mom) She is a strong lady and although she has some health issues, she is loved very much. I consider her my own grandmother since mine have both passed. I am honored to not only be part of her family but to have been in her presence. You look great Abuleita! Feliez Cumples Anos!!!
