My mom turned 50
Yesterday was my mom's 50th birthday. We had been planning her party for the longest time and I cant believe how fast it came, now it is gone. My mom had my 2 brothers and I by the time she was 21 years old, so I have always seen her as young... not that I think she is old but you know what I mean. I cant express in words how much I love her. She has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and in my eyes, she is perfect. She can do no wrong. She has taught, the best she could, to not only be a loving wife but to be a loving mother. She has taught me not by telling me but by showing me without her knowing. To me, she has always been the most beautiful woman in the world. Not only gorgeous on the outside, but a loving heart and a warm spirit.
Her birthday was filled with family and friends, fun and laughter, love and memories, food and music. The hardest part of the whole day, was not the scorching heat, not the setting and cleaning up, not chasing after my little guy, but not having my baby brother there. He is in heaven. That was also the hardest part for my mom. I cant imagine her heartache and I hope I never feel it. God knows what he is doing so we have to allow him to control.
Mom, I love you...not because...I just do.
