Our Trip to the San Antonio Missions
Joe, James and myself took a little trip to the San Antonio Missions. We went this past Monday. It was kinda spur of the moment thing. I had been wanting to go but I also wanted for Joe to come along with James and I. So it was a pleasant surprise when Joe was off of work on Monday. He had never been there in all his 31 years living in San Antonio and for me, it had been many many years since I was there. Although it was scorching HOT, I had a really nice time. The sun felt like I was in an oven. Imagine opening an oven when it is hot, the wave of heat you feel is what it felt like. I took tons of pictures. I am by far a professional photographer but it is hard to not take a beautiful picture there. The old churches and ruins that have been there for years are amazing. The churches still hold services there every Sunday and you cant help but feel a peace in your heart when you are there. I love history and I could have spent hours and hours just looking at the buildings and reading about them all. Getting in the car and driving from Mission to Mission was hard because for one, the car was very hot every time we got in and two, James didn't want to go in his car seat. So we, well I, had to fight with him to put him in there. By the time it was time for us to go, I knew that I was sun burned. We went to eat lunch and I think I drank about 25 glasses of water. Needless to say, we all slept like rocks. We were tired but it was well worth it. We plan on going again but not until the fall or spring when the weather is much nicer. But until then, I will enjoy the pictures I took.
